Rose Bud This is a lovely example of a 19th century Gentleman's vest. Made with a delicate rose bud print fabric. Double breasted cut closes with abalone shell buttons and it is detailed with pointed collar and elastic waist back. ERA: Late 1800's Victorian LABEL: No tags SIZE: Medium; chest 40", back length 17.5". FABRIC: Quilted cotton front, cotton muslin back. COLOR: Antique white. CONDITION: Great condition for it's age and very wearable. There is some yellowing on shoulders and on back (please see last photo). Also elastic back is completely stretched out. I did not replace elastic only because I did not want to fiddle with a garment of this era.
