1950's Ceil Chapman Draped Dress

Black Gold Every gathered seam and drape on this Ceil Chapman dress shapes the body in a most flattering way.....looks like black fluid.   The bodice has a wide scoop draped neckline and the shoulder straps appear like they will just barely stay on (very seductive).  Asymmetric skirt is softly gathered at seams.  The left hand side of skirt is a bit more gathered and it hangs a little longer (continuing with the fluidity of shape). Dress is fully lined and it has a long back metal zip. ERA: 1950's DESIGNER: Ceil Chapman SIZE: Small,  it's a great fit on my size 4 mannequin. Chest up to  34", waist 24", hips up to 36", bodice length 15.5", skirt length 24" COLOR: Black FABRIC: It feels like a silk/rayon blend. CONDITION: There was a hole on the side of dress but I added a vintage applique (please last two photos). The leaf applique blends in beautifully with the side gathers. To be honest, it looks like it was part of the original design (if I do say so myself :).   Other than that , this dress is in excellent condition.  Cleaned and ready to wear.
