#WC52 Edwardian Silk Matelasse Evening Coat
Black Beauty This beautiful coat is made of heavy and plush Matelasse.  The lines are elongated and loose.  Rich in detail, this cutaway style is constructed with a drop shoulder, corded seams, and wide sleeve cuffs.   The neckline has a large  notch collar and braided tassels.  Lap-over front fastens with braid ornament and self covered buttons.  The decorative corded seams on back come to a deep V that meet a vertical line of  buttons. Fully lined. CIRCA: 1910-1920 DESIGNER: No label SIZE: Medium. Difficult to measure because of loose style but it will fit about a modern 8.  length 47". Chest, waist, and hips up to 40". COLOR: Black MATERIAL:  Matelasse and satin lining feel like silk. CONDITION: Excellent!  No holes, stains, or discoloration. The lining is just as immaculate as the right side.
