#WDD06 1940s Malihini Rayon Tea Timer Dress
Under the Sea Another fabulous Hawaiian print from the forties.  This one depicts a mesmerizing kelp forest. I love how kelp runs along the sides of the dress and sea urchins are placed in the center.  Tea timer dress is detailed with contrasting mandarin collar, sleeve cuffs, and  11.5" slits at sides.  Back metal zip.  ERA: 1940's LABEL: Malihini - Made in Hawaii SIZE: Vintage tag says 10, about a today's 5/6 = bust up to 34",  waist up to 28". hips up to 40", length 54.5". FABRIC: Rayon COLOR: Mostly Blue, chartreuse, orange, and white. CONDITION: There are a couple of water marks (please see last photo). Very hard to make out with busy pattern. It does not distract from overall appearance.  Cleaned and ready to wear.
