Pleats Please Exquisite dress is very Fortuny-esque.   Fortuny pleating techniques have not been duplicated, but both Ian and Marcel sure came close.  Tunic dress buttons at shoulders and it is weighted with glass beads at hem.   Silk was most likely hand painted which creates a fluid watercolor streak effect. Dress rolls up neatly in matching bag.  A rare and wonderful piece. Circa: 1980s DESIGNER: Ian and Marcel - London SIZE: Due to pleating, dress will fit a variety of sizes... 2 to 10? Chest stretches from 10" to 60",  length 55".  FABRIC: Silk COLOR: Yellow and black CONDITION: Excellent! No holes, stains, or discolorations.
